Job Summary
JW Williams- Inc.- an AECOM company- is seeking an experience Table
Operator/CNC Plasma Burn Operator to support our fabrication facility based in
Waller- Texas.
This AECOM subsidiary provides code fabrication and modularization services
for the oil & gas industry- which includes- a cost effective |turn-key|
solution for process equipment- including engineering design- fabrication-
installation- assembly- start up- and field service needs.
The Table Operator / CNC Plasma Burn Operator under limited supervisio

performs moderately to advanced production activities requiring a demonstrate

skill and competency in production processes and machine operation acquire

through an apprenticeship and/or considerable training.

Primary Responsibilities:

Choose correct material for the job according to work order.

Sets up machine- selects proper burning tip- sets gas flow and machine feed rates.

Positions work pieces for processing (may operate a combination of different machines).

Uses gauges- calipers- squares or rulers for measurement.

Determines processing specifications such as materials- burning tips- location of cutting lines- dimensions- tolerances and operational sequences.

Reviews CAD drawings- work orders- tooling instructions or other written specifications.

Sets up and aligns specified material or other fixtures in machine bed using gauges- templates- shims or hand tools.

Adjusts controls to set depth and feed rates.

Performs quality control inspections on finished product; for ISO-certified locations- performs In Process Quality Inspections.

Diagnoses problems and makes necessary adjustments and removes scrap from machine.

Coordinates and executes material handling to be processed including operation of overhead crane.

Completes work order paperwork/documentation.

Restocks material.

May mark identification on material/work pieces before processing.

May mark material after processing; store material for additional processing and/or shipping.

Stacks- bands and palletizes finished products for shipment to customers.

Demonstrated manual dexterity- finger dexterity- arm-hand steadiness- and multi-limb coordination.

Actively participates and supports safety programs and initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

None

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of related experience

AND

Previous experience as a table operator / CNC Plasma Burn Operator to produce metal parts.

Read and understand blue prints and cut lists.

Basic knowledge of carbon and stainless plate and pipe material descriptions.

Understand and safely operate cut machinery to manufactures guidelines.

Previous experience operating oxygen and acetylene cutting torches- plasma cutting torches to produce smooth consistent cuts.

Basic reading and writing comprehension in English (to read work order instructions- safety and policy manuals).

Basic measuring skills and ability to use and accurately read a tape measure.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED.

Ability to safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts.

Previous experience working on Oil & Gas industry equipment in a fabrication/manufacturing shop environment.

Previous AECOM or Legacy AECOM experience.

Additional Information:

Relocation is not available for this position.
