Job Summary
SIGN-ON BONUS OPPORTUNITY
Perform a variety of engineering assignments in planning- executing- and
overseeing the safe design of weapons and combat systems used by the Navy and
Marine Corps. Apply safety engineering principles and project management
skills for the development- test- analysis- systems engineering- and
integration of combat and weapon systems. Develop and review requirements-
with a focus on safety- for systems and subsystems. Perform traceability
assessments of requirements to associated validation. Perform analysis of
hardware- software- and interfaces to identify and assess safety hazards an

control mechanisms. Collaborate with design agents- human factor

professionals- software and other systems engineers to implement technica

recommendations for safe design- test- deployment- and human procedures

Participate with testing staff to verify and validate safety requirements.
Assist in scheduling and contributing to safety meetings as needed. Knowledge
of Military Standard 882 is a plus- but not required.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor`s degree in a technical field and at least 5 years of job-related
experience; OR US Naval operational experience at the E6 level or higher and
at least 8 years of job-related experience or equivalent. Position may require
travel. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security
Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent communication and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer
systems and integrated software application programs.
