Intelligent Medical Objects (IMO) (Rosemont, IL) seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead and participate in design and architecture decisions developed in a cross-functional agile team and to write clean, quality, and testable code that supports rapid delivery via continuous integration, delivery, and automated deployments. Specific duties include: work on a scrum team comprised of developers of all skill levels; contribute to high-level technical designs through collaboration; design and write quality source code, including documentation of detail level designs; leverage automation across testing, integration, and deployment activities; work hand-in-hand with product owner to break down features into actionable user stories; conduct root cause analysis on defects; ensure fixes are happening in the right way; ensure implementation follows the defined architecture; collaborate with other engineers to ensure that implementations satisfy requirements; contribute to company internal and external work groups; test non-functional features; work cooperatively with team members to manage conflict constructively and foster trust, commitment, accountability; mentor colleagues’ technical development into generalized specialists; deliver quality product leveraging the values of transparency, inspection and adaptation in an agile way; take ownership to proactively anticipate the implications and consequences of situations and act appropriately to make decisions; and implement creative solutions to technical challenges and embraces out-of-the-box thinking to apply knowledge and learning from various disciplines to create new or improve existing products. Option to work remotely is available.

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field of study, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, or as Technical Lead, Student-Computer Applications, or similar position. Specific experience must include: working with object-oriented design, C#, relational database design and development on platforms such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL server, Microsoft ASP.Net, Microsoft ASP, and Microsoft Visual Studio; working with agile development incorporating Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), utilizing technologies such as GIT, Jenkins; serving as technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle; working with best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations; developing of distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications; mentoring and leading juniorengineers; communicating and providing an effective interface between departments andfunctions; leading a team to decision making; and interacting with a diverse group of stakeholders, architects, management and other teams.
