Job Summary
AECOM National Water Business Line is currently seeking a qualified individual
to serve as Senior Program Construction Manager (CPM) for major pursuits
of large multi-year water and wastewater program. This program involves the
planning- design- construction- commissioning and closeout of multiple
projects totaling approximately $1 Billion in capital cost.
The Senior Construction Program Manager (CPM)- working closely and in concert
with the client- will serve in a key role directing day-to-day construction
management and will be instrumental to the successful development-
implementation and delivery of the program.
The CPM will organize and direct all construction activities of the progra
including scheduling- budgeting- cost control- change orders- QA/QC- ris
analysis- document control- management information systems and construction
safety oversight.
The CPM will be required to balance and appropriately address the
needs/concerns of all of the stakeholders impacted by this program- including
but not limited to the client- public- local businesses- other agencies and
the State and Federal regulatory community.
The CPM will lead efforts- beginning with the constructability review during
the design phase- to develop a comprehensive program execution plan- implement
community/public involvement and coordinate/communicate relevant program
status/issues with regulatory agencies.
In addition- the CPM will lead development and drive implementation of
resource loaded scheduling tools- plans and procedures required to manage
construction in a programmatic- process-driven manner. The CPM will direct
construction management and oversight activities as well as supporting
specialty/small business contracts and vendor programs of the client.
The CPM will also work with the client in the selection of construction
managers- engineers- and inspectors and will provide management oversight
related to performance- schedule and cost for construction based on Key
Performance Indicators. The programs involve the implementation of waste
water-related capital improvements and entail diverse technical aspects
including but not limited to large treatment facilities- pump stations-
storage and supporting infrastructure.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor|s Degree or equivalent in construction or engineering related field
15+ years minimum construction management experience
Excellent communicator
Proactive problem solver
Ability to adjust to changing job environments
Proficiency in MS Office Suite- MS Office- P6- SharePoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to lead and resolve issues
Confident and well-spoken
Preferred Qualifications
MS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
20+ years of relevant water and/or wastewater system program and construction management experience
Preferred candidate will have $500M+ capital improvement construction program experience
PMP or CCM certification are also preferred qualifications
