Job Summary
AECOM is seeking an experienced- creative- and highly talented Senior
Mechanical Engineer to provide systems engineering and technical advisory
services in the Washington- DC area.
Engineers will be accountable to plan and perform high-level engineering
analysis- evaluation- design- integration- documentation- and implementation
of complex solutions that require a thorough knowledge of applied mathematics-
scientific- and/or technical skills by absorbing- integrating- and
interpreting data through various methodologies. This position is
contingent upon task order award.

Responsibilities may include- but are not limited to:

Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team.

Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff|s specific area of expertise.

Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others.

Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.

Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.

Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.

Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.

Prepares technical specification sections.

Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

Serves as a fully capable professional in the field with minimal direction.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor`s degree and 6+ Years of Relevant experience.

Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check; many projects/clients are security sensitive.

Must possess a valid driver|s license and clean driving record.

Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

Secret Level or Top Secret/SCI.

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or Master`s + 5 years of relevant experience highly preferred.

Aptitude for on-site Systems Engineering and Technical Advisor (SETA) work; including effective customer engagement- interpersonal communications- writing- and briefing skills and demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced- dynamic- and team environment.
