What will I be doing?
As the Senior Manager| Category Management| Operating Supplies and Equipment
(OS&E)| you will plan| coordinate| direct| and control the purchasin
functions for all products within the specified module across all 17 brands
You will work closely with design firms| brand teams| and operational units t
ensure client happiness| and adhere to industry and brand standar
methodologies. In addition| you will develop| implement and direct global
programs in support of Hilton Supply Management (HSM)| Corporate
Responsibility and Hilton initiatives and plan| coordinate and direct the
strategic alignment of the Supply Management global enterprise.
More specifically| you will:
Develop| implement and lead global programs and products to support of our overall strategic vision and corporate sustainability initiatives across all brands.
Execute strategies based on subject matter expertise| technical knowledge| job experience and management skills that demonstrate our value proposition and optimize results.
Develop category strategy| run the entire RFx process from conducting initial due diligence to finalizing contract negotiations in a cross-functional environment with applicable brands and/or corporate departments. This includes validating supplier selection and performance through price benchmarking| auditing| risk assessment| etc.
Build new or streamline existing internal processes to promote continuous process improvements for HSM.
Effectively build and foster external relationships with suppliers| distributors| and manufacturers. This involves implementing| analyzing| and measuring key performance indicators to ensure effectiveness| compliance to brand standards and specifications| risk| and liabilities.
Communicate effectively and collaboratively with brands| operating units| and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on category strategies and priorities. This includes providing outstanding customer service to all internal partners.
Forecast| achieve| and document cost savings/cost containment/cost avoidances through negotiations| competitive bids| and innovative product rationalization.
Develop an expertise and execute strategies on all items within the scope of work.
Perform the duties of a salesperson for the hotels and provide technical knowledge regarding products within areas of responsibility.

To fulfill this role successfully| you should demonstrate the following
minimum qualifications:
Five (5) years professional work experience within purchasing| procurement or strategic sourcing
Two (2) years of project management or service contract management experience
Travel – 15%
It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following
capabilities and distinctions:
BA/BS Bachelor|s Degree
Five (5) years| experience working within Hospitality or equivalent such as real estate services and property management services
CPSM| CPM| PMP certificate or PE license
