_Grand Wailea_ is searching for a _Retail Receiving and Merchandise Manager!_
Sitting on 40 acres of gorgeous landscaping| this Waldorf Astoria property
opens up to Maui|s beautiful Wailea Beach| voted one of the best beaches in
America! Guests can find themselves snorkeling| kayaking| paddleboarding| and
windsurfing at the beach or relaxing in the incredible pool complex. Featuring
776 guest rooms| 60 Villa|s and 100|000 square feet of meeting space including
Hawaii|s largest resort ballroom!
In this position you will directly supervise 4 receiving team members| but be
the point of contact for the entire team driving productivity and momentum
throughout the day| posting PO|s and processing invoices to vendors. The ideal
candidate will have a critical eye for detail| proficient computer skills and
strong problem solving skills.
We are searching for a results-driven leader with at least 1 year of retai
management experience to include purchasing/receiving. Union| luxury an

What will I be doing?
Recruit| hire| train and develop a team dedicated to delivering excellent internal and external customer experiences and financial results
Lead team to achieve productivity goals by motivating| encouraging| and mentoring team members.
Manage & coach performance of individuals and team
Support merchandising activities to create an environment that inspires guests to shop in our stores. This includes but not limited to merchandise receiving and flow| floor moves| visual displays| and creating and implementing visual standards
Analyze selling trends and collaborate with sales team| Retail Director| and buying team to ensure replenishment and assortment are in line with business needs
Schedule appropriate staffing to maximize sales and minimize expenses.
Oversee Physical inventory counts| MOS and inventory transfers and partner with Retail Receiving and Merchandise team to maintain inventory
Support flow and set up process of trunk shows and event initiatives on property which generates sales (Member events| holiday events| fashion shows| etc.)
Work closely with the Retail Operations Manager and Makana gift shop Supervisor to maximize retail amenity offerings in regards to receiving goods timely
Share/propose best practice implementation/solutions for shops| property or Company based on learning from day-to-day operations
Maintain presence in receiving are and when on sales floor| aid in upselling and making extraordinary lifetime memories with guests| be a point of contact for retail team
Engage| inspire| coach| and recognize team by assigning and assisting with tasks and projects| communicate resort and department happenings and updates
Attract| hire| and retain a diverse team of top talent.
Train| coach| and develop direct reports using company programs| tools| and resources.
Create an environment that inspires and encourages the growth and engagement of associates.
Model a culture of open communication by sharing enterprise strategy and corporate messaging to associates.
Promote a culture of teamwork by working alongside the management team| establishing priorities| and providing clear direction.
RequiredQualifications:
1 year management experience with direct oversight of receiving/purchasing team members required
Ability to handle competing demands in a fast paced environment
Proficiency with MS Word| Excel| Outlook| retail POS and inventory systems
PreferredQualifications:
3 years or more receiving in a retal or hospitality environment
