Job Summary
AECOM is looking for a Junior level Air Quality professional to join our
Austin TX team.
The successful candidate will work in AECOM`s Ambient Air Monitoring (AAM)
Group – a recognized center of expertise within AECOM. The successful
candidate will primarily work independently- but will also need to interface
with clients- contractors- and AECOM managers. As a member of the AAM Data
Analysis Team- the successful candidate will have the following
Accumulate- organize- prepare- process- and validate air quality and meteorological data

Assess and analyze data quality – using software R

Work with and develop Visual Basic (VBA) programs in Excel

Investigate and explore spatial and temporal characteristics of the data

Perform statistical and descriptive analyses

Generate and explain summary results

Assist in writing reports and proposals

Analyze and validate chromatography

Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and solve instrument problems

Act as a resource to clients in order to answer technical questions and address appropriate issues

Minimum Requirements

B.S. degree in chemistry- atmospheric or environmental science- or engineering

A strong interest in air quality and environmental science

Strong statistical skills

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to communicate effectively- both verbally and in writing

Excellent organizational- time management- and interpersonal skills

Aptitude for working independently and within a team

Broad computer skills- including Microsoft Excel and experience using R
