AECOM has joined with Bechtel to create an LLC- known as the Waste Treatment
Completion Company (WTCC) to construct- start-up and commission the world`s
largest radioactive-waste treatment plant for the U.S. Department of Energy
(DOE) in southeastern Washington state. The project will use vitrification
technology to process and stabilize 53 million gallons of radioactive and
chemical waste currently stored at the Hanford Site which is a byproduct of
plutonium-production during World War II and the Cold War era.

The project is the largest undertaking of its kind ever and one of DOE`s most
technically challenging cleanup projects—equivalent to building two nuclear
power plants. Its construction site spans 65 acres and includes facilities for
pretreatment- low-activity waste vitrification- and high-level waste
vitrification- as well as an analytical laboratory.

Minimum Requirements

REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (or
equivalent discipline) from a four-year accredited college or university.

Experience: Minimum of seven years of professional experience. Experience
in processing facilities- DOE facilities- or DOD facilities preferred. One
year of Nuclear facility experience required. (Nuclear Experience when used in
reference to Nonreactor Nuclear Facilities- is experience acquired at any
facility in which radioactive materials are routinely handled- stored-
processed- or utilized.) A Bachelor of Science (BS) may be substituted for up
to 3 years of nuclear experience.)

Experience with medium voltage power (13.8KVA).

Experience with low voltage power.

Experience implementing NFPA 70B requirements into maintenance work

Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking an Engineering Technician to perform work as a US
Naval Ships| DDG/LSD/LPD Electrical /IC equipment specialist. The position
will be located at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC)- Naval
Station- Norfolk- Virginia.
Essential Responsibilities: Primary skills required are in condition based
maintenance assessment- repair- and maintenance of DDG Electrical /IC
equipment and systems.
Have knowledge about DDG/LSD/LPD Electrical/IC equipment onboard DDG/LSD/LPD Naval Ships.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of Navy assessment programs- visit processes and reporting Methods for visits.

Provide support for various assessments and technical assistance. Following is possible list of equipment and services to be supported. This is not an all-inclusive list and is subject to change: Switchboards and load centers- power and lighting distribution panels- circuit breakers- cathodic protection systems and degaussing systems.

Conduct inspections and/or assessment of current ship conditions.

Evaluate the findings of the inspections and/or assessments and determine away ahead to correct the current situation in supporting DDG/LSD/LPD Electrical /IC equipment- Switchboards and load centers- power and lighting distribution panels- circuit breakers- cathodic protection systems and degaussing systems.

Ability to utilize computers including the Microsoft Office Suite for compiling information for reports and history files and transfer digital pictures from camera to computer and enhance as required and label them for report purposes.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum of ten (10) years of general experience with the operation- repair- testing and maintenance of US Naval DDG/LSD/LPD Electrical /IC equipment and Switchboards and load centers- power and lighting distribution panels- circuit breakers- cathodic protection systems and degaussing systems.

Minimum of five (5) years of specialized hands-on experience in the operation- repair- maintenance and assessment of US Naval DDG/LSD/LPD Electrical /IC equipment and Switchboards and load centers- power and lighting distribution panels- circuit breakers- cathodic protection systems and degaussing systems.

Current (within two (2) years) hands-on experience with this equipment.

Position requires a Confidential Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

General Experience: (Desired) Ten (10) years` experience within the last 20 years in the operation- repair and maintenance of naval or marine propulsion machinery- electrical distribution or ordnance systems. Job Summary
