Job Summary
AECOM B+P is actively seeking a creative- highly talented Junior Architectural
Designer for immediate employment in the AECOM downtown Los Angeles office.
The responsibilities of this position include- but are not limited to:
Work independently as part of a project team in developing architectural design- under supervision by the Project Architect or Design Principal
Contribute to strong innovative design concepts including technical solutions to make the design feasible
Promoting excellence and proactively contributing to the studio culture.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor`s degree in Architecture or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
An interest in architecture principles and practices

Fluency in English is mandatory- another other language is an asset

Awareness of BIM workflow in the industry

Confidence in working in a complex environment

Engaged- inquisitive and highly collaborative.

Empathy for great design and attention to detail

Strategic and critical thinking

Resilient and determined

Analytical with a proactive approach to problem solving

Preferred Qualifications

Strong AutoCAD- 3D Max- Rhino- Adobe Suite skills

Some experience or internship with an Architecture or Engineering firm

What will I be doing?
Working with the Director of Platform Architecture| you are responsible for
establishing a deep understanding of the Hilton Supply Management (HSM)
business processes that are supported by Hilton|s PeopleSoft Financials
System. You will be able to read current functional design specifications an

reverse engineer code that has been written to support HSM|s business. Yo

will lead all HSM| PeopleSoft focused initiatives from requirements| solutio

design| development| and testing.

More specifically| you will:

Plan| schedule| and run requirements and design workshops that include business teams| developers| and support resources
Architect solutions that are in line with the platform direction and support models
Bring to bear your extensive experience designing and implementing PeopleSoft 9.2 modules including AP| ePro| GL| AR| Billing| and Purchasing modules
Document detailed functional specifications and also developing the necessary code to support solution design
Drive communication among different teams to ensure proper change impact assessments are established
Escalate if a major incident requires engagement during business critical time periods
Drive engagement with 3rd party support team to maintain proper quality of service

What are we looking for?

We believe success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following
attributes and skills:

Strong PeopleSoft 9.2 Financials knowledge from a business process and architecture perspective
Ability to engage the business and establish a positive relationship that your work will be completed accurately and in a timely manner
Strong PeopleSoft SQR| AppEngine| WebServices| and Query experience
Expertise in the following areas: Application Designer| SQR| Application Engine| and other PeopleTools Development Tools; Strong PeopleSoft Financials Web Services Integration; Query Analyzer| SQL Developer; CA Unicenter/Autosys
Extensive background developing custom solutions with PeopleTools
Strong Oracle DB| SQL Server DB| and ETL| skills
Ability to analyze data requirements to support interface development of PeopleSoft data for new systems or solutions
Proven sensitivity to working in a political environment and to interacting with senior leadership
Expertise in setting and handling customer expectations

To fulfill this role successfully| you should demonstrate the following
minimum qualifications:

Ten (10) years of professional software development related work experience
Five (5) years of development in PeopleSoft Financials and all aspects of design| development and testing| with strong emphasis in AP| ePro| Purchasing| AR and Billing modules
Background in PeopleSoft 9.2 FSCM and database architecture
Experience with PeopleSoft Tools 8.5.4 or greater
Functional knowledge of the PeopleSoft application and the processes behind a large corporate finance organization
Business travel of approximately 5%

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following
capabilities and distinctions:

Bachelor|s Degree| or Associate|s Degree plus a minimum of six (6) years of IT related experience| or High School Degree/GED plus a minimum of twelve (12) years of IT related experience

Experience managing large complex data environments- including experience in database management- data analytics- or similar role using development skills in common programming languages (SQL- R- etc.) to drive business recommendations
Experience with data processing- ETL- data ingestion and API development using one or more languages- such as Python- C- etc.
Proven ability to work with varied data infrastructures – including relational (MS SQL Server- Postgres) and unstructured databases (Hadoop/Hive)
Experience with data management and governance- including privacy and regulatory data restriction and role based security.
Ability to integrate deep subject matter expertise with industry and professional experience to achieve strategic goals- influencing leadership decisions- mentoring team members- and leading large projects for teams
